Rape with false promise of marriage, young arrested
Babu Chakma, 35. He acted for fell in love with the adolescent girl. He just made the trap by the false promise of marriage. That tope worked as usual. Although the girl’s parents attempted to solve the problem through social arbitration.
The family of that 35 years old man did not agree to any discussion. On the contrary, they socially degrade the teenager’s family. In the end, Survivor’s mother filed a case for ‘Rape with the false promise of marriage’. The accused Babu Chakma was arrested after filing the Case.
The incident took place in the Singinala area of Khagrachhari Sadar. Khagrachhari Sadar Police arrested Babu Chakma, an accused in the case, on Tuesday (January 5th) afternoon following allegations by the surviving teenager’s mother.
The arrested Babu Chakma is the son of Khunji Lal Chakma of the Giriful area of Khagrachhar Sadar.
case statement says Babu Chakma used to harass the girl at first. The bait of love once worked. she trapped and the teenager falls in love with him. Babu Chakma raped her more than once on the pretext of marriage and love. When Singinala asked the girl to marry him, she refused. When the girl’s family found out about the incident, they tried to resolve it within two families.
In the social arbitration on December 26 the girl is blamed as a ‘bad girl’ and her family was fined Tk 1,100.
The surviving teenager’s mother filed a case under the Nari O Shishu Nirjaton Daman Ain at Khagrachhari Sadar Police Station on Monday (January 4) evening. Khagrachhari Sadar Police arrested the accused Babu Chakma on Tuesday afternoon after the case was filed.
Asking about this, Khagrachhari Sadar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Abdur Rashid told to WomenVoiceBD, ‘After the case was filed, we raided and arrested him. After his arrest, I sent him to the court after preliminary interrogation.’
