According to DBC Online, Nasreen is a survivor of domestic violence. She got married to her cousin Firoz Bepari in 2018. The husband left for Dubai the day after the wedding. From then she is surviving with various torture and exploitation. At present, Nasreen has no contact with her husband. From then on, even though he worked hard all day, the people of his In-law’s house did not give her sufficient food. Two and a half years have passed since she was forced to eat duck food. Torture has increased day by day. Nasreen’s hand was cut with a blade during the torture. Towels were tied on his face and he was beaten day after day. Now her face is distorted by mixing acid in the cream.
Asma Khatun allegedly mixed the acid in cream. But the accused is not only Asma Khatun. The family of her husband allegedly carried out the torture. Two wives of two other brothers did not stay for the continuous torture of Nanad Asma Khatun and her family. Relatives and locals are angry over these cruel acts. They want justice for this incident.
However, accused Asma Khatun did not agree to talk with the reporter about these issues. Police say action will be taken if any complaint is received.
Jessore Basundia police outpost ASI Piarul Islam said, ‘If the victim lodged a complaint with the police station and if any complaint comes from the police station or the court, we will take legal action.’
