Saiful (22), A young man has been arrested by RAB for attempting rape two girls aged five and six in Chittagong. This incident took place on Tuesday (July 14) in the Bank Colony which is area of EPZ police station.
The accused Saiful Islam is the son of Firoz Miah. He is from Tetulbaria area under Mathbaria police station of Pirojpur district of Bangladesh.
It is informed that, accused Saiful attempted to rape girl children aged 5 and 6 in a room of the colony which is next to Nasir Chowdhury’s building in the area of EPZ police station. A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) came to the spot at 8.30 pm after receiving a complaint. Saiful tried to flee after sensing the presence of RAB. RAB team chased and arrested him.
Assistant Police Superintendent Sohel Mahmud (RAB-7), who conducted the operation, confirmed this information to Women Voice BD.
Sohel Mahmud said, ‘a case has been filed against Saiful Islam at the EPZ police station under the Nari O Shishu Nirjaton Daman Act, 2000. He is now in police custody.’
