Sumaiya claimed that after hearing gunshots, she jumped from rickshaw and walked to the roadside shops.
She stated that she believed Samia had already left to save herself. When the bullets stopped, he dialed Samia’s number. Then a man called her and took her to the crowd. She went and saw Samia lying unconscious on the road.
Doctors confirmed Samia Afran dead after she was transferred to the hospital. She was wounded in the body by a gunshot. According to police, the criminals planned to kill Zahidul Islam alias Tipu, the former general secretary of the Motijheel Thana Awami League (58).
